Developing a BIM model and performing basic queries

Summary
This session will unlock part of the enormous potential when using content rich models within the AECOO industry. We will build upon the objectified relationships contained within BIM-based CAD environments and explore a series of powerful queries that return a variety of pertinent results related to different stakeholders' requirements, for example quantity take off for quantity surveyors, clash detection for contractors and energy analysis for mechanical engineers. Exercises will target three different levels of expertis and focus on the topics of building geometry, HVAC systems and a combination of both:
- Quantity Take Off and Scheduling
- Clash Detection and code compliance
- BIM-Based Energy Analysis
