Summary
The power and potential of integrating BIM with fully functional digital twins is an intriguing prospect for today’s AECOO industry. Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN) is the global standard for process modelling and one of the most important components of successful Business-IT-Alignment. Unambiguous business process definitions are the missing link between model-based process analysis and data-oriented analysis techniques. The application of such rigorous process based methods supports all stakeholders involved in a given project. This session will introduce the BPMN, its concepts and applications including some in class exercises, the most detailed of which includes a thought exercise focusing on the potential for integration of querying processes within automated and semi-automated tool chains.
